(Blackpool, 1942 ; au Caire), Al Powell Band (Chester, 1946, 1948), Teddy Foster (1946), Nat Temple (1947), Geraldo (1951), Sydney Lipton (1952-3), BBC Northern Variety Orch. (1953-69, avec Stan Hibbert, tp), son orch. (style Glenn Miller, à partir de nov 1967). Retraite en 1996. Son orch. lui survit.
